Today Rory and I are going to be talking about our version of the library of imagination. The design of our library is a brain with different types of objects sticking out. The inside of our library consists of lots of bookshelves and glass containers to hold everything that we have collected.
When you think of the words, library of imagination, what do you think of? Sam and I thought that we would try to show how evolution connects to the human imagination. To my right (left if on opposite side) is the evolution of weapons. We started out by finding a basic weapon (A stick or a club) then we started to progress through the different weapons of the ages. In my hands, is a souvenir replica of a 1000 to 800-year-old sword made in Spain. Although it was manufactured in Spain, it seems to depict images from English historical folklore.
As we progress through the years, we see different weapons come into the battle, cannons, gunpowder, and guns became the main weapon for battle. Later on in the ages (1900s-Present) we see more and more guns coming onto the battlefield, although we have plenty of guns in the battlefield the power-weapons that we have consist of, atom bombs and nuclear missile technology. Nuclear missile technology being the most common weapon that people NEVER want to use. In conclusion, I believe that the artifacts of one of the first guns/cannons, and a nuke would definitely be suitable to be in our library because they show what the human imagination can produce. Now I am going to hand the conversation to Sam.

This video is going to show you the first NASA space shuttle take off, Rory and I choose this because it was a huge part of history and science. Showing the imagination of people’s brains because it must have taken a few decades to build something like a spaceship. People may have had big dreams to go out in space, but nobody expected to actually go off the earth, into the atmosphere. In conclusion, I believe the first NASA space shuttle would be suitable to be in our library because it shows the imagination of someone wanting to go out into the universe, so badly, that they would take huge amounts of time and money, to build something as complicated as a spaceship.

Clothing: From old time dresses to the 80’s look and know the sophisticated look. From being made at home by hand. Now being bought in stores worldwide.
Relevant to the human imagination because it shows how many different designs people can come up with now and the different varieties that clothing can come in.
Transportation: From Walking to carriages to old time automobiles to deluxe luxury cars worth 10s of thousands of dollars.
Not needing anything to walk, to needing horses and training them, to needing oil and metal parts and gasoline, to needing less gasoline and electricity.
Relevant to the human imagination because it defines how peoples brains can take things to different levels of needs/wants.
Art: Art is in our library because it is a important part in our society. Although computers are diminishing hand arts, they still live in our lives because it is a way to express your feelings instead of just pressing a button on a computer and making a art.
Art is relevant to the human imagination because back in the stone ages, people never thought about trying to make elaborate paintings, they thought simple thoughts and drew simple pictures, which evolved, into modern art.
Computers: computers are important to mankind because they can help you understand basically anything at the tap of a button. Computers are in our library because they are like a brain. They have evolved from a huge computer with thousands of long circuits and cords to portable laptops that we can stow and take anywhere. They can also play games and music with high definition almost real life accuracy.
They belong in our library because they show how peoples brains can make huge things like computers into tiny little gadgets that are useable anywhere.
Entertainment: entertainment is important for are library because it is another huge part in are culture. Entertainment at one time was gruesome and violent where people actually had to die for other peoples entertainment when now they can make movies that have all that stuff without people actually dieing.
Entertainment is a choice of ours because it is an important part of our culture. If there was no entertainment in the world nobody would have anything to entertain them and they would become bored with life.
Planes: Originally 1 person planes, now up to 100-200 person planes flying at over 150 miles an hour.
Built in 1899 evolved in less than a century to carry 100 - 200 times the amount of people.
Put in our library to show how fast peoples brains can adapt and make things more sophisticated and improved. Medication: Evolved from being simple leaves and herbsto complicated medicines that take 1 day to cure you of your sickness.
Brought into our library by showing how people can use their minds to improve simple things to complicated and helpful.
Shelter: From being found anywhere to being made all over the world most people now need houses to survive people are not used to living in the wild without home comforts and shelter.
Our library is a shelter, complicated yet life saving,by showing how people can now use machines and hand tools to build elaborate things such as houses.

The Wright Brothers Airplane: I also choose this because it shows how a humans imagination can change over time, because the Wright Brothers had thought big back in their day nobody thought about flying before them, but now people are thnking about building humongous planes and jets to carry as many people as possible to a certain destination in the least amount of time. Our minds have developed things like airplanes to the very extent that we can build them.
The Internet: I choose this to be one of the three best items to show imagination, because it has evovled so throughly and I don’t think anyone could have ever imagined somebody trying think of something like the internet. Nobody back in the 1900’s would have thought of something like a computer that can bring up millions and even billions of pages of information at the tip of a finger, as well as on such a small and handy little device like a laptop.
Rube Goldberg Machine: Finally last, but not least, I choose this because, it shows how peoples imaginaton can change and develop new things, and make them more and more intriguing over lttle amounts of time. It is so interesting to see how people make different things happen in their minds, then make them really happen.
