Today I went to work feeling not too well. I decided to treat myself to a special treat today, but I did not know what to get myself. I was walking to my office, when I saw a poster with elaborate paintings on it; I walked over and took a close look at the poster. It said “Shakespeare presents” and I ran to the nearest ticket seller to buy a ticket. I spent the rest of the afternoon surprised and ecstatic. I was going to see the second play in my lifetime; I was shocked the town had not heard of the play. Usually the tickets were sold out as soon as the poster was put up; the poster was in a strange place though. Oh well I could care less, I was watching another play. Yippee!

:] I found out that Suzanna Madeline Grace, from 4 years ago, was going to the play, oh how I loved her so back in the days of simplicity. I took a deep breath and gained my composure again and then thought to myself, “Hold onto yourself boy, you can live without her, there are plenty of fish in the sea.” I start to eat some chicken and have a glass of ale. I felt really good treating myself to something I like. I went to the bathroom to be sure I didn’t need to go during the play. I was sooooo excited to be going. I dressed in some good, comfortable clothes. An undershirt, a simple vest, but no shoes. I was feeling quite good about the day, I also had found 7 shillings on the ground earlier, topping off the day before I got home.

The play was A-MAZE-ING; I couldn’t believe how beautifully the play was acted, the costumes were amazing as well, and the actors looked so beautiful and handsome. I couldn’t believe I had not heard of this play before. I went to the nearest stationer right after the play ended, looking to see if anyone had ever published any of Shakespeare’s plays. I was sadly told, “No, he has never had any of his plays turned into books.” Oh well what are you going to do. I am still happy for being able to see the play, I will be thinking about that play FOREVER!! Now, time to get ready for the fancy ball.

Nice undershirt with an embroidered vest, those truffles were so huge and itchy. My fine leather shoes shined every time the light hit them, I looked so nice for a change. Getting to the ball was difficult. I could not get a ride with one of my friends, oh well at least there was lots of food, and I was able to give Queen Elizabeth a bow and kiss to the hand. I decided to leave the ball early, since Suzanna was not there, I didn’t want to be at ball where I didn’t know anyone except the Queen. That’s life for you oh well, you can’t complain about anything life won’t get any better. All in all, today was a great day, I would have liked to have seen some friends or Suzanna after the play, but the play was amazing and the ball had some great food until next time,
