So far, the plot of the story is about getting out of the Ark alive, for Rat, James Adams and Lauren Adams. The plot for Dana right now is, trying to take over the boat she is traveling in through the Indonesian sea. James, Rat, and Lauren have been enclosed in a room, with 6 other little children age 1-10. Dana on the other hand, is stuck on a boat, feeling very “nervous” about the challenge ahead for her, she has been going to the bathroom to get various tools. In the end, everyone gets out alive. Lauren earns a black shirt, the highest shirt you can get. Dana is shot in the toe, after getting in a fight with the woman on the boat.

You are never told who is telling the story, it may have just been in a 3rd person format for the purpose to switch between characters more easily. This does change how the story is being told, because you do not see the world through the main character’s eyes. Which changes how everything is placed, and how the people think.

The climax of the novel is when, James is feeling bad for himself, after he stepped in to a large sewage tank, and did not notice a barge that would have let him walk across the whole tank, without falling in to the sewage. All of a sudden, The Ark explodes, and James blacks out, later we learn that about 80-90% of the people in the Ark have died. Also another climax possibility is when, Dana is fighting to lady on the boat, and she is shot in the foot, and the woman and Barry Cox are both tied up.

There does not seem to be a main theme or message, this may be because, the novel was not intended to have a lesson that teaches anyone anything. The author I am guessing, just wanted to write a series about people that are well-taught in combat training, and fitness tests every once in a while.
