I choose this novel for two reasons. The first reason is that, love crime, mystery, and fighting types of books. This book is more of a crime and fighting book. The storyline (which I know because, I have read the other books) is quite good, it is about these kids, British kids, that are being trained in all aspects of agent/spy types of things. The kids learn different languages, because they travel around the world completing missions, learning different fightings styles, and using cool spy gear. They also train in a high tech facility that nobody knows about, but only the driver that drives the kids to the facility, and the founder of the base.

The initial problem that James (the main character) faces, is trying to get to the change rooms with a ball in his Dojo. First he must past a huge sixteen-year old man (Max), that is very strong and agile. He grabs a soccer ball while running as fast as he can, to the change rooms. Within fifteen feet of the change rooms, Max comes out and punches James with a left-right combo, and then kicks him in the ribs. Then James gasps for air, because he is winded, when he has his strength back, he notices there are only two girls left and him, he tries to wait for the girl with the ball to be tackled by the other girl, then he planned to jump in and grab the ball. The teacher is annoyed because they are not moving, she says ”You got one minute or all three of you run,” so the girl with the ball, runs and ducks under the other girls flying kick. James shoulder-tackles her, and grabs the ball. She grabs back onto him and starts hitting him in the face, he is too tired and lets go of the ball. The girl that tried the flying kick, sees the ball, grabs it and runs to the change rooms. James has lost in his first conflict. And has to run twenty laps around the Dojo.

What is going on, before the story begins, is a brutal 90 minute session of martial arts, and 20 minutes of sparring. The main character is very tired from the sparring, he goes to grab a drink of high energy water, and is hit in the back by his teacher, because he is not watching to see if anyone is going to hit him, she asks him “Wa ru one?”. He replies “Rule one, always be alert; an attack can come from any direction at any time.” She lets him up, and they start playing their, soccer ball, run to the change rooms game.
